Feb. 6 - Janesville Forum, Grounding The Drones

Rock Valley Fellowship of Reconciliation presents "Grounding the Drones" Feb. 6, 2013 - 6 p.m. at:

Basics Cooperative Community Room
1711 Lodge Drive, Janesville

Join us in welcoming Bonnie Block and Joy First

Bonnie Block and Joy First are long-time peace activists and between them are involved in various peace groups including Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice, Madison Pledge of Resistance, Wisconsin Coalition to Ground the Drones and End the Wars, the National Campaign for Nonviolent Resistance and the Dane County Chapter of the United Nations Association.

They will be speaking about drone warfare and why it is a violation of human rights and international law. They will share what is happening in Wisconsin and around the nation in resistance to drone warfare and tell how individuals can get involved. They will also talk about why they engage in nonviolent civil resistance and what happens if one is arrested and goes to trial. They will talk about the principles of nonviolence and their belief that real social change will only happen through the practice of active nonviolence.
