On October 11th is the VP Debates and a great opportunity to get the stories of 99%ers in Janesville out into the press. Therefore from 3pm to 6pm at Court Park will be a Truth About Paul Ryan fest. We know, having lived in Paul Ryan's district, how wrong his policies are for working families - let's get the word out to the rest of the USA.

Rock County Progressives is sponsoring Drinking Liberally Wednesday (6/20) 7 PM at our usual place, The Speakeasy in downtown Janesville.

Come and join us for some liberal conversation, perhaps about Romney's visit to Wisconsin? I will usually order some food too, so it's OK to come hungry. The first pitcher is on the Rock County Progressives.

June 19 - Janesville, Nuns At Paul Ryan's Office

Catholic Sisters across the country work every day with people struggling at the economic margins. Meanwhile, the House of Representative has approved the “Ryan Budget” – which will harm millions of the people they serve.

NETWORK has announced an exciting new venture: a bus tour through nine states to highlight the work of Catholic Sisters, meet the people they serve, and learn about the harm that would be caused by these federal budget cuts.

“Nuns on the Bus: Nuns Drive for Faith, Family and Fairness” will make stops in Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia during the two-week tour beginning June 18. We’ll visit social service agencies and offices of members of Congress, highlighting our opposition, as well as the U.S. Catholic bishops' opposition, to the Ryan budget that passed the House.

THEY WILL BE IN JANESVILLE, TUESDAY MORNING, JUNE 19TH FOR A PRESS CONFERENCE AND A STOP AT PAUL RYAN’S OFFICE, 20 S. MAIN STREET – 2 PM!!!!!
